Ryan's 'Longmont Bike Night' last night was a blast! Probably about a
dozen or more people showed up with bikes of all styles: cruisers,
comfort bikes, a bent, even a couple of road and mountain bikes. A
couple of children on trail-a-bikes accompanied their parents. We all
cruised down Long's Peak Avenue and Bowen Street with cards
flap-flap-flapping in the spokes and bike bells ding-a-linging. Ryan is
very outgoing, greeting old ladies gardening and young women pushing
strollers as we all rode by.
The group stopped off at the Lefthand Brewery. I don't drink and hence
took my leave at this point, but a great time was had by all.
The next ride is Wednesday at 6 P.M. starting at the Roosevelt Park
south parking lot on Long's Peak Avenue. This is a fun, casual social
ride. Don't come wearing your polyester jerseys; do come wearing loud
Hawaiin shirts.
