    Road and trail rage escalates in the spring because regular users
    aren't used to the influx of people coming out of hibernation,
    Boulder County sheriff's Deputy Bill Crist said.

    For instance, he said, "everybody gets their bikes out, and
    motorists aren't used to having them on the road."

    "Most of the time, it's the bicyclists and the motorists who have a
    problem," Crist said. "Now it's spilling over into joggers.

    "You'll get a cyclist who calls to report a reckless driver, and the
    very next day, you'll get a call from a motorist who says he's
    behind a pack of cyclists who won't let him by," Crist said
