Police: Bike thief knocked rider out

A man was treated for a cut near his ear after he was robbed of his 
bicycle at about 9:30 p.m. May 4, according to a police report.

The 49-year-old man said he was riding his bicycle near Fifth Avenue and 
Emery Street when he was hit in the head by an unknown object and 
knocked unconscious, said Cmdr. Craig Earhart.

When the man awoke, he said, he saw an unknown man riding off with his 
bike, valued at $60. There are no suspects.
