Hey all,

I hope you will be able to join us tonight. We've had pretty low numbers
these past couple of weeks following our summer high of 35 people on August
6th. So I hope you will be able to come out and join us tonight. The
weather looks like it will hold and we will be in for some good riding. I'm
looking forward to cruising Old Town with you all. I think some celestial
being flipped the Autumn switch last week so we'll be in for some great
colors in the coming weeks!

Our Summer numbers look like this:
Our high for the summer was 35 participants on August 6th. Throughout the
summer the total number of people attending/participating was = 131. June
2nd was our first ride with 23 people participating. June had a ridership
of 54 people, July's ridership was 31and in August 46 people participating.

The question has been asked how long these rides will continue. Several
people have requested that they go year round. This is intriguing. However
to answer the question - I don't know. It's entirely up to those who show
up. I know it will go atleast through Halloween. Many people have voiced
interest in a costumed ride. I'm not sure if this ride will take place on
Halloween or the Wednesday prior, or, if we'll do a special ride. Like I
said, these decisions are entirely up to those who show up.

I know a number of Bike Longmont folks have participated over the summer
could you provide me with your thoughts about the ride? I would like it if
you could jaught down a few ways we can make the ride better and ways to
better publicize the ride. We've had a lot of "one time" riders this summer
and I would like to see more return riders. In an effort to get more
returners the time has been changed to 6:30 and the route has been firmed
up, so those folks showing up late will be able to find us. If you're late,
just ride west on 6th Avenue, or Longs Peak. The new route zig zags along
6th Avenue to Sunset, up to Sunset pool then down the hill to Bowen on
Longs Peak Avenue. We cross Main Street at about 7-7:15 pm, and make our
way to Collyer Park and the Round-a-bout at Longs Peak and Collyer.

Lastly, I want to thank you for changing the date of your meeting so your
members could particpate in Bike Night. It wasn't necessary, but I really
appreciate it.

Thanks for any input you can provide.
Ryan
