As I've mentioned, the City will be starting design of Phase 7 of the St
Vrain Greenway later this year, with construction starting next year. For
all of the previous phases, we have applied for grants from Great Outdoors
Colorado to help fund the project, and Paula and I are working on another
one for Phase 7. They have been very supportive of the project in the past
and we would like to try to continue that support.
With the grant application, we can submit only 6 letters of support. I was
hoping that we could get one from Bicycle Longmont as a whole. Support
from a major user group is always helpful in a grant application. I am
attaching some "talking points" that would guide the letter, but the actual
letter should be in your own words.
I'm hoping someone will volunteer to write the letter on behalf of the
group, with the rest of the group agreeing to the contents. Please let me
know if anyone can take this on. We would need a completed, signed letter
by October 25.
Hope you can help. Call me at 303-774-4532 or email with any questions.
Thanks - Steve
