[BikeLongmont] bank account (finally!) opened

Hi,

I was away for a couple of weeks and am slowly catching up. I hope to
follow up on the list postings in the next few days.

The big news is that we now have a bank account and $190 in it! I want
to thank all of you who contributed, not only for the money, but also
for the patience, since it took us so long to cash your checks.

It turned out that we needed a bit of paperwork to get it done, so
thanks to Lauren who braved the mazes of IRS to get us our tax id. Buzz
and I went to the bank on Thursday (First MainStreet in Longmont) and
finished the process. The account is set to require two signatures for
any withdrawal. In addition of Buzz and I, Lauren will be the third
person to be able to sign.

We have to keep $100 or so in the account, which leaves us $90 to spent
at this moment. We will discuss hows and wherefores on our next meeting,
which is again on Wednesday next week.

As a minimally-organized group, we publish no formal annual report, but
I'll do the accounting and will keep the group up to date on income and
outgo.
