I believe the original force behind the proposed 25mph speed limit came
from the Third Avenue community, and I 100% agree that there indeed was
a speeding problem in that part of town.  

The City, in my humble opinion, did the correct thing by adopting an
across-the-board speed limit vs. attempting the trickier problem of adjusting
speed limits on a per-neighborhood basis, like the speed bump experiment
from a few years ago tried to do.
