I received this note from Dan Grunig @ Bicycle Colorado regarding the
Safe Routes training in Boulder next week. I have another commitment
on 1/29, but I really think somebody from Longmont should attend this
seminar. If you know anybody with the St. Vrain school district that
would be interested, please contact them about this, or if somebody
from the city could attend that would be excellent.

Forwarded from Dan Grunig:

Bicycle Colorado is hosting a Safe Routes to School Community Kickoff
meeting for the City of Boulder and Boulder Valley School District on Jan.
29. Boulder wanted to get a program rolling in advance of any state or
federal funding. Information and safe routes resources are at
www.SafeRoutesColorado.org. We are adding more content as we go along so
keep checking back.

For this training, residents of Boulder and Boulder Valley School District
will receive preferential registrations. Folks outside of Boulder are
welcome to attend, space permitting. If someone from Longmont wants to
participate, I suggest going ahead and registering on the website. Next week
we will notify you if there is space available to accept the registration.

We are so happy to have this opportunity to develop a training kick-off
module which Bicycle Colorado can share with other communities. If Longmont
and Bike Longmont are interested in holding a similar event, please let me
know. I just spoke to the Dept. of Health last week and they may have some
grant money for communities to tap for this training.
