Buzz,

First of all, glad you weren't injured this morning.

Secondly, does Longmont have a "safe routes to school" program or are we
planning one?

Jim

>First the Yikes! While riding to work today, going east on HWY 66 and crossing Main St., I was suddenly in contact with a t-post that is sticking out into the roadway. At the southeast corner of that intersection, there is a pedestrian island with a t-post that has a reflector at the top of it. Perhaps a motorist hit it and now it is bent over horizontal and sticks out into traffic. I was looking over my right shoulder to see if any traffic was coming toward me in the accel lane from Main St when I ran into this offending t-post. No injury or damage to the bike, just a wake up "Yikes!" moment. Until the city can get someone there to straighten it or replace it, be watchful. I tried unsucessfully to straighten it.
