There more collisions and injuries on paths, but when a collision occurs on 
the road injuries are more severe and there's a somewhat higher risk of 
death, especially outside of city limits.

Longmont paths aren't that busy, but if there are people (and pets) around 
the paths should not be used for high speed riding. I might zoom along at 
20+ mph, but when approaching curves and people I slow *way* down, to 
walking speed or less if necessary.
