[BikeLongmont] 73rd Street / 75th Street Resurfacing Project - Spring '05

	Attention Boulder and Longmont cyclists:

	Boulder County is in the process of resurfacing the entire stretch of 75th Street and 73rd Street north of Niwot Road and south of Hwy66. Resurfacing will take place in 1-mile sections beginning at Niwot Road this week and moving north to Hwy 66 by mid-July.

	The roadway will remain open during the resurfacing project and access to businesses along the route will be maintained. However, sections may be difficult to pass on a bicycle while resurfacing is taking place. Therefore, the County is asking cyclists to use caution and to expect uneven surfaces along 75th Street and 73rd Street until the project is complete.  Once completed, the project is expected to result in a new roadway surface with a 4-foot paved shoulder on each side of the roadway.
