I missed the last meeting so I don't know where we're at on a mission
statement. If we don't have one yet, here are a few I found on the
web. I *really* like the London Cycling Campaign's mission statement.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
LAB: To promote bicycling for fun, fitness and transportation and
work through advocacy and education for a bicycle-friendly America.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Bike Colo: Our mission is to encourage and promote bicycling,
increase safety, improve conditions, and provide a voice for
cyclists in Colorado.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The Bicycle Alliance of Washington promotes bicycling for everyday
transportation and recreation through advocacy and education.
Bicycle Alliance members believe that bicycling in Washington is
inexpensive, healthy and fun, and that bicycles are a viable
transportation alternative.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The Kanata-Nepean Bicycle Club (KNBC) is a volunteer-based
non-profit organization which emphasizes the social, recreational,
and health aspects of cycling.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The London Cycling Campaign exists to increase cycling in Greater
London for the benefit of individuals, local communities and the
wider environment by:
* promoting cycling
* improving conditions for cycling
* raising the profile of cycling
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The mission of the North Andover Bicycle Advocacy Committee (NABAC)
is to improve conditions for all types of cyclists and other human
propelled or human assisted forms of transportation and recreation.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Bike PGH: "To establish Pittsburgh as a city that is increasingly
safe, accessible, and friendly to bicycle transportation."
