[BikeLongmont] Lefthand Canyon Resurfacing Project - April through June

Attention Boulder County cyclists:

Boulder County will begin resurfacing Lefthand Canyon between Old Stage Road and James Canyon Drive on Monday, April 4. The project is expected to take about three months to complete during which traffic will be reduced to a single narrow lane through the construction zones. Rough roads and delays of up to 20 minutes should be expected.

The County is urging cyclists to use extreme caution through this section or use alternate routes until construction is completed (mid-June).

Once completed, the project will result in a new roadway surface with a paved shoulders on both sides of the roadway. 

The project is part of the County's Bikeway Shoulders Program funded through a portion of the County-wide sales and use tax approved by voters in 2002.
