[BikeLongmont] Important Agenda Item

I will probably not be able to attend the meeting tomorrow, but I would like
to put an item on the agenda - an important item.

 

Bicycle Longmont should have a representative on the Neighborhood Traffic
Mitigation Committee.  We have been invited by the city to participate, and
this is a very good opportunity to get the views of cyclists included in
traffic planning and street design.  From the number of comments about the
Mountain View traffic circles on this board, I know you care about these
types of issues. I am on this committee representing the Transportation
Advisory Board and consequently will not be able to represent Bicycle
Longmont.  It is important that Bicycle Longmont have their own (reflexive
pronoun) dedicated representative.

 

The good news is that the first meeting of this new committee isn't until
Monday 16 April.  So there is still time - you can get in at the beginning.
If nobody has yet volunteered for this position, I strongly recommend that a
person be appointed at tomorrow's meeting.
