I rode my there at lunch today. The space is still empty with some signs of
construction inside, but the signs on the doors indicate some upscale
product lines (Felt, Maverick, C-Dale) and a "Fresh Approach" to selling
bicycles and the tagline "It's About Time."

The buzz is that Blue Sky will start selling high-end bikes. Comments were
made that Blue Sky will learn that the other bike shops stock $300 bikes
because that's what everybody buys. There's some skepticism on whether
there's a market in Longmont for $5000 mountain bikes; it should be
interesting to see.

I think the location is good. Somebody commented to me that the folks living
in southwest Longmont tend not to know that Main Street exists and patronize
businesses in Boulder or along US36 so they'll get good traffic from that
area. The parking lot is frequently full at that shopping plaza, and the
shop has visibility from Airport Road.
